When you open the Windows Firewall applet (firewall.cpl) in Windows XP Service Pack 2, it may read as For your security, some settings are controlled by Group Policy at the top of the applet. If this happens to a stand-alone system, then you may use the instructions below to reset the firewall Policy settings to defaults.
Note that there are a plethora of Viruses which disable the Windows Firewall settings through Policy / registry settings, even in Windows XP Home Edition. Therefore, it’s a good idea to run a complete Virus scan in your system.

We have had a substantial number of enquiries regarding the announcement concerning the AOL blacklisting.
At 15:49 on 21st October 2006 we received notification from a customer that they had sent a mailing out to their customers. However due to a scripting error they had sent this mailing to each recipient up to 100 times.
At 16:00 on 21st October 2006 we stopped all SMTP transactions from taking place on the mail servers. We then cleared the mail queue of all outgoing messages remaining for the mailing list.
At 16:10 on 21st October 2006 we resumed SMTP transactions.
Having reviewed customer feedback received and looked at our systems we have merged our mail server services in to one simple system. It has been labelled EBAGS or Email Backup and Gateway system.
EBAGS is a complete email backup and protection system. It provides virus and spam scanning of incoming mail as well as backup should your own mail server fail. Our own shared hosting email accounts are protected by EBAGS ensuring trouble free email usage. If you host your existing email accounts with us then you already have the benefits of our EBAGS.
Nominet have announced they made an error an a recent batch of registration certificates. The certificates were all issued with a registration date of 2nd February 2006 rather than the actual registration date.
Nominet will be sending out a seperate letter with details of this error to those affected.
We will be moving offices over the next 7 days. We will still be in the same building but moving from the first floor to the third, going up in the world!
Support responses may take slightly longer during this time will equipment is moved.
Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.
